Justin Comley is a 3rd-year film production student with a passion for post-production. Based in the south of England, Justin is dedicated to honing his skills in post, specifically Editing and colour grading.

When This You See - Student Project

Hester, a humble woman governed by the effects of a distant war, and her spirited young daughter, Asmi, await the return of her son from battle.

When This You See went on to have success in the festival circuit, with nominations for festivals such as Cinemagic Belfast, notably winning "Best student film" at Bristol Independent Film Festival.

When This You See is one of my second year university projects and one I am incredibly proud of. My roles on When This You See included Gaffer, Editor and Colourist.

Goodbye Sunshine - Student Project

A grieving man comes to terms with life after his wife’s death.

Goodbye Sunshine has been nominated for festivals around the world including a win in the Super Short category at the Alternative Film Festival Fall Edition.

Goodbye Sunshine was another project I worked on in second year, with my roles including editing, colour grading, and sound.

RESONATE Behind-The-Scenes video - Paid Work

RESONATE invites artists to experience and re-interpret one of five existing artworks (commissioned by ArtHouse Jersey in collaboration with Age Concern) as new digital works. Alongside a programme of development and support artists will be paired with a mentor - to explore their specialism and approach to memory interpretation.

My role on RESONATE involved all post production for the Behind The Scenes video.

Phillippa Beasley-Swanson - Head of Picture at Virtual Post

Justin joined our team over the summer to assist with two blue light series blurring. I found Justin to be a quick learner & met expectations for quality of work and pace quickly. He showed a good base level understanding of resolve and a strong understanding of the use of shapes and alpha channels to complete fiddly and precise blurring tasks.
